THE INTERNATIONAL SECURITES EXCHANGE assigned four new Competitive Money Makers (CMM) to its roster this week. Cole Roesler Trading Group L.P., LaRocque Trading Group LLC, Option Funding Group, L.P. and Tague Van der Moolen LLC will now operate CMM memberships in the Exchange. As seasoned and experienced firms in domestic and global options markets, these institutions will help the ISE continue to grow, while bringing electronic trading to the auction marketplace.
MERCER MANAGEMENT CONSULTING AND XELUS, INC., announced they will collaborate on designing and fueling business-to-business e-marketplaces that will target such service-related industries as aviation, railroads, telecommunications and utilities. While Mercer, a global strategy firm, will help to hone Xelus' business strategy in marketing to these industries, Xelus, a leading software solutions provider, will apply its planning and procurement software to create strong, efficient e-marketplaces.
TRADESCAPE.COM, INC., a direct-access trading company, will now offer its brokerage subsidiaries a more in-depth educational tool. "Fundamentals of Direct-Access Trading," an eight-hour direct-access trading course on multimedia CD-ROM, is designed to complement its educational Web site, Online Trading Academy.com (OTA). Using Tradescape PRO, its next-generation online trading software, as an interface, the course will cover such topics as Risk Management and Discipline, and Reading NASDAQ Level II Quotes.
FNX LIMITED, a provider of straight-through processing (STP) and trading solutions, plans to unveil several new products at the Securities Industry Association's 2000 Technology Management Conference and Exhibit on June 20-22. One such product is eSierra portfolio, an Internet-enabled trading engine for enhanced STP across several asset classes. This product will offer Internet trading and STP functionality to a global client base consisting of buy-side, corporate and middle-market firms.
