IP Holding, Chase Manhattan Bank, BISYS and the SIA.

IP Holding, a private Portuguese fund manager, has licensed Princeton Financials' PAM investment management system to manage its portfolios of global equities, fixed income securities, private equity investments and derivatives. The front-to back-office system includes PAM for mutual funds and front-office modules, FrontLine Order Management and FrontLine Modeling. IP began its search for a new system last August and enlisted the help of Andersen Consulting to help with the process.

The Chase Manhattan Bank announced that its Global Investor Services was awarded "Best Worldwide Settlement Performance" for 1999 at GSC Benchmarks' annual Custody Awards presentation. Chase was also nominated in five other categories, including Service Innovation in Reporting, Best Client Reporting System, Most Effective Securities Lending Manager, Best Exotic Market Network and Most Timely Data Provider. The GCS Benchmarks Custody Awards measure the performance of global custodians' services and recognize excellence in securities settlement and safekeeping. Additionally, GCS was ranked number one in five award categories in the Global Investor Survey.

BISYS has expanded its mutual fund outsourcing services in its Fund Services division to support private and alternative investment vehicles structured as partnerships, trusts, or limited liability corporations. Through its Internet-enabled portfolio administration and accounting services and recently integrated tax allocation software, BISYS will service both U.S. and offshore alternative products.

The Securities Industry Association's annual Technology Management Conference and Exhibit will be held June 20-22 at the New York Hilton. The program is aimed at individuals within securities firms with management responsibility for technology-based support initiatives. Some of the subjects to be covered include the role of online brokerages, customer relationship management, XML issues, capacity planning, security, T+1, decimalization and many other issues facing the securities industry. There will be three general sessions, 20 workshops and an exhibit hall. Featured speakers include John Hagel, principal and leader of e-Commerce practice at McKinsey & Co., Leo Hindery, CEO of Global Crossing, Joe Ricketts, chairman of Ameritrade Holding Corp., and Michael Treacy, co-founder and chief strategist at Gen3Partners.
