Fisher Joins Lloyds TSB to Oversee HBOS Integration
Following its acquisition of troubled U.K. mortgage giant HBOS, Lloyds TSB hired Mark Fisher to oversee the integration efforts. Fisher, who joins Lloyds TSB as director of group IT and operations, is a former Royal Bank of Scotland executive who was responsible for the integration of ABN AMRO into RBS. Fisher will also be part of Lloyds' group executive committee, which will lead the newly named Lloyds Banking Group following the acquisition of HBOS.
"This appointment completes the strong leadership team that will drive our new group," said Eric Daniels, group chief executive, Lloyds TSB, in a statement. "I am delighted Mark is joining us; he has a deep expertise in banking and his proven track record in dealing with highly complex integration activity will be a great asset to the new Lloyds Banking Group." In addition to overseeing the RBS-ABN AMRO integration, Fisher also managed NatWest's integration when it was acquired by RBS.
