SAP has appointed Ross Wainwright the new global head of financial services industries, which includes executing innovative strategies for customers in the banking, insurance and capital markets industries.

Wainwright will also be leading a team to deliver applications and architecture to accelerate the financial industries modernization, standardization and innovation programs.

Wainwright will report to Simon Paris, global head of strategic industries at SAP, who’s team focuses on streamlined customer engagement model and foster co-innovation with customers and partners.

Paris adds, “as an integral member of the financial services industries senior leadership team, Ross brings extensive experience helping customers to execute on transformation initiatives.”

Prior to this role, Wainwright oversaw a global team of consultancy and sales contributions. Other positions included COO at SAP North America and senior software sales positions in for Parametric Technology Corporation in the U.S. and Canada.
