    Fully Equipped NYC Offices to Be Offered to Startup Hedge Funds

    For startup hedge funds and existing hedge funds that would like to have an office in New York City, Eze Castle Integration announced today it's going to start offering "managed suites" at 529 Fifth Avenue and 44th Street (near Grand Central Station) early next year. The company will provide office space, computers loaded with basic office software, market data feeds, Blackberry services, a telecom infrastructure, conference rooms, a receptionist, a 24x7 help desk, a shared data center, disaster recovery via data replication to Eze Castle's Boston data center and even trial-level versions of software from Capital IQ, MarketStream and others.

    "Every time we meet with a new client, they're curious to know if we have services like this," says Bob Guilbert, managing director. "We've already secured our first client to go into this space."

    Eze Castle will be able to accommodate up to 100 people in nine modular suites on the 18,000 square-foot floor it's making available; each suite can support up to 30 people. "This could be used as a transitional space," Guilbert says. "A hedge fund may wish to design their own space but need a place to sit in the interim. We can assist them with moving in, then moving to their new space and provide services to them throughout."

    Guilbert, whose firm provides IT services for more than 450 hedge funds (53 signed on in the first half of 2007), says there's still a lot of money flowing into startup hedge funds.
