    Northern Trust Ranked No. 1 Lender by ISF

    Northern Trust recently announced that its Global Securities Lending program has been named the No. 1 lender in North America by borrowers in the 2006 International Securities Finance(ISF) Equity Finance Survey of Borrowers Rating Lenders. Northern Trust was also awarded the No. 1 ranking in multiple service categories recognizing its superior relationship management, connectivity and automation.

    “We are very proud that Northern Trust has been given this recognition,” said Mark Van Grinsven, head of Global Securities Lending, in a release. “These rankings are the result of the continuing investment we have made in our people, product and technology. We believe that this further proves Northern Trust provides unmatched performance and global expertise to the borrowing community and our lending clients.”

    Northern Trust was the only lender to rank in the top 10 in all 23 categories surveyed, with top-3 rankings in 16 categories. Northern Trust was ranked No. 2 in the European and Asian regions, earning the ranking of No. 2 lender worldwide.
