Paladyne Unveils Real-Time Portfolio Solution For Hedge Funds

Portfolio Master is a fully hosted and combines front and front-office trading tools and comprehensive middle- and back-office portfolio management functionality.

Paladyne Systems, a provider of technology and services to the global hedge fund industry, unveiled Portfolio Master, a multi-asset class trading and real-time portfolio management solution. Paladyne announced that 60 clients have now implemented Portfolio Master, which is fully hosted and combines front and front-office trading tools and comprehensive middle- and back-office portfolio management functionality. "We are experiencing increased demand for our combined trading and portfolio management solution, particularly in Europe and Asia, and amongst global start-up fund managers," said Sameer Shalaby, CEO of Paladyne Systems. "We invested heavily into our products to deliver the industry's only combined OMS/PMS solution that is fully-hosted and able to support a fund manager's entire business." Paladyne said it is the only provider of a combined OMS/PMS and that the solution is much more cost effective than any combination of two products to support trading and portfolio management.

Portfolio Master offers full multi asset class with models for valuations and real-time P&L, which is clearly differentiated against OMS vendors (which have limited multi asset class coverage and no models) and PMS vendors (which have no models).

Paladyne also announced a number of new "live" production clients including: Belay Partners, Timescape Global Capital Management, Blue Rice Investment Management, Farema Capital, Linzor Asset Management, MissionPoint Investment Partners, Phalanx Capital Management and Saka Capital.

Top Quotes of the Week
It wasn't all bad luck for the capital markets this week: Hedge funds had a decent first quarter despite a slowdown in jobs numbers, BlackRock might be heading into new territory as hedge fund managers take a hard look at their counterparties, and the head of the IMF didn't pull any punches when assessing today's global economy. At least we can admire the nice weather and some of the best quotes of the week.
