Trade Manage LLC, a N.J.-based order-management-solution provider, has selected SunGard FIX engine. Trade Manage will utilize SunGard Business Integration's solution to connect proprietary and third-party order-management and routing systems to over 80 counter parties via the FIX protocol. These counter parties include ECNs, primary and regional-listed exchanges, major market makers and other market centers.

Spear, Leeds & Kellogg has combined its electronic-execution services with Eze Castle, Software's order-management system to create a real-time order-management, routing and execution solution. The single platform will provide traders with direct- market access and market data, according to the vendors. The integration links SLK's RediPlus with ECS's Traders Console.

PFPC has named Albert Marazza as a vice president for sales of the firm's fund start-up services. Marazza previously served as a hedge-fund analyst for Berens Capital Management as well as a founding partner of long/short hedge funds for QED Capital Management. PFPC, a member of The PNC Financial Services Group, is a full-service mutual-fund transfer agent and provides mutual-fund accounting and administrative services.

Top Quotes of the Week
Top Quotes of the Week
It wasn't all bad luck for the capital markets this week: Hedge funds had a decent first quarter despite a slowdown in jobs numbers, BlackRock might be heading into new territory as hedge fund managers take a hard look at their counterparties, and the head of the IMF didn't pull any punches when assessing today's global economy. At least we can admire the nice weather and some of the best quotes of the week.
