FIX Protocol Ltd. (FPL) announced it is now in possession of the fixprotocol.com URL following a hand-over organized by the FIX engine vendor, Cameron Systems. Fixprotocol.com will now be mapped to the official FPL Website -- fixprotocol.org; the central repository for information regarding Financial Information eXchange Protocol. This will assist all FIX interested parties, especially those who assume fixprotocol.com is the correct URL, to reach the FIX Protocol organization's official Website.

Investment Technology Group, Inc., a provider of technology-based equity-trading services, announced that it has completed the acquisition of Hoenig Group Inc., a provider of trade execution and research services to alternative investment funds. Under the terms of the merger agreement dated Feb. 28, 2002 and amended on July 2, 2002, ITG acquired Hoenig for $105 million.

CheckFree Investment Services, a division of CheckFree Corporation, unveiledwww.SMAForum.com, a new Web site devoted to providing professionals in separately managed accounts (SMAs) and allied groups with a central hub for accessing current information, research, commentary and links. The site also serves as a communications medium for exchanging best practices and other innovations.

The Gothaer Insurance Group is launching a product-independent, insurance-company-fund supermarket-trading platform for investment funds in Germany, through which Gothaer's distributors can market a comprehensive range of funds to their retail investment clients. The system will become operational at a launch ceremony in Gottingen on Sept. 3.
