Eaton Vance Distributors, has implemented Pyxis Mobile's mobile application to provide the firm's executive team with a real-time wireless view of core business intelligence metrics. Pyxis Mobile is a provider of innovative wireless applications for Financial Services. Its experience in delivering intuitive, mobile composite applications that make enterprise data actionable was noted as a major factor in the decision, according to the firm.

Eaton Vance Distributors first implemented Pyxis Mobile's wireless application for mutual fund wholesalers in 2004 to extend their CRM and sales data to BlackBerry smartphones from Research In Motion (RIM). The easily accessible, 360-degree view of their clients has allowed their wholesalers to provide better products and services, and to become more competitive in the marketplace, said Eaton Vance in a press release.

This most recent implementation, an enterprise dashboard view across all major business segments, was delivered in less than two weeks from kick-off to production. The application provides managers always-on, direct access to real-time enterprise and industry reports, tying together multiple enterprise systems including sales reporting, product and company performance, market data, corporate IT support, and human resource statistics. "Over the last four years, Eaton Vance Distributors have expanded our use of Pyxis Mobile from a point solution for wholesalers to the mobile platform for our entire enterprise," said Brian Taranto, director of distribution administration at Eaton Vance, in a press release. "We've expanded our use across multiple sales units, and recently deployed Pyxis Mobile's business intelligence dashboard to our distribution management team. We continue to review the possibility of wirelessly enabling our IT support and analyst groups in the future," he added.
