Conor Allen, Vice President of Technology and Director of Research and Development, NYSE Technologies

Conor Allen is Vice President of Technology and Director of Research and Development for NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology business of NYSE Euronext.

In this role, Mr. Allen is responsible for the high performance messaging division of NYSE Technologies, which produces Data Fabric; a multi-transport shared memory based messaging system that provides breakthrough messaging performance in terms of latency and throughput.

Mr. Allen is also responsible for Research and Development for NYSE Technologies, evaluating new and emerging technologies and determining their applicability within the NYSE Technologies' product stack.

Mr. Allen holds a BEng in Aeronautical Engineering and an MSc in Computer Science from Queen's University of Belfast.
Andrew F. Bach, Senior Vice President, Technology for NYSE Euronext

In this capacity, he is responsible for planning the company's private fiber-optic network that links all NYSE, Securities Industries Automation Corporation (SIAC), which is a subsidiary of NYSE, and American Stock Exchange (AMEX) sites and the national networks SIAC operates.

Additionally, Mr. Bach is Head of Product Development for Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure (SFTI) at SIAC. He oversees all aspects of the SFTI product line. Under his management, SFTI's products and services have increased to include exchanges, market centers and industry utilities. It now offers a variety of financial service content providers to more than 600 firms, representing over 99% of nationally listed market order flows.

While at SIAC, Mr. Bach has held various positions, including Vice President of Communication Administration, Vice President of Architecture and Vice President of Project Engineering.

Prior to SIAC, Mr. Bach was the manager of software development at EDO Corporation where he developed advanced sonar signal processing equipment for the world's navies.

Mr. Bach sits on the board of the Promise Fund at Polytechnic University in New York City, where he also is an adjunct professor for graduate studies in networking. He also is a member of the Nortel Customer Advisory Board, and the Wall Street Technology Association and is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM). Awards for Mr. Bach's contribution to the industry include the prestigious ComputerWorld Smithsonian award in 2000 for his role in the integration of IP multicasting technology in the financial services industry. He also holds multiple patents in communications technologies. Mr. Bach received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the Pratt Institute.

Thomas Chippas is Head of Autobahn Equity, North America, for Deutsche Bank. Autobahn Equity is Deutsche Bank's equity electronic trading platform encompassing direct market access and algorithmic trading. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Tom was Head of Sales for electronic trading at Banc of America Securities and Global Head of Sales for Macgregor. Previous to those roles he lived in London where he was Head of Europe for Financial Technologies International.
Penny Crosman, Executive Editor, Wall Street & Technology

Penny Crosman has been a magazine editor for 22 years. Dmitri Galinov, Director and Head of Liquidity Strategy, Credit Suisse Advanced Execution Services (AES)

Dmitri Galinov is a Director and Head of Liquidity Strategy at Credit Suisse Advanced Execution Services (AES). In his role, he is responsible for establishing relationships with new sources of liquidity, enhancing AES routing strategy, running AES CrossFinder and developing new routing products.

Mr. Galinov joined Credit Suisse from Direct Edge ECN where he was Director of Strategy and helped a company grow from a small player into one of the major US trading destinations. Prior to Direct Edge ECN, he was at Lava Trading where he built and managed their buy side DMA product.

Mr. Galinov received his MBA in Finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and B.B.A. in Finance from Baruch College.
Stephen M. Goldman, Director of Enterprise Architecture, CME Group

Stephen M. Goldman was appointment Director, Enterprise Architecture of CME Group in August 2007. He is responsible for developing the architecture plans and strategies that enable CME Group to achieve its business goals on an enterprise-wide basis. Previously, Goldman served as Director of Architecture of CME since 2004.

Goldman joined CME in 1992 as Manager, Technology Planning. Since that time, he has held technology positions of increasing responsibility, including Director, Technology Planning from 1994-96, Senior Director, Network and Technology Planning from 1996-2000 (re-titled Director in 2000), and Director, Technology Engineering from 2000-04.

Before joining the company, Goldman held network and programming positions for The Board of Trade Clearing Corporation(R) (BOTCC(R)) from 1979-1992.

He earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Northern Illinois University in 1978 and a master's degree in computer science from Loyola University in 1988.
George Hessler, Executive Vice President, Lime Brokerage

George Hessler joined Lime in May, 2007 as Executive Vice President.

Before joining Lime, George was Senior Vice President and member of the management committee of Lava Trading Inc., a subsidiary of Citigroup. Serving as product and business expert in sales, Mr. Honoré was the primary expert in every subsequent sale for CSS. He has also been a speaker at business intelligence seminars, online seminars for wealth management platforms, and discussions with senior business leaders.

Prior to CSS, Mr. Honoré was responsible for development at Tucker Anthony Sutro Capital Markets, designing and creating applications for investment banking & research, including one of the early capital markets online personalized research delivery websites.

Before Tucker Anthony, Mr. Honoré was a software engineer at Strong Capital Management. While there, Mr. Honoré helped create an online brokerage platform, tools for their award winning mutual fund site, and intranet applications supporting Strong's enterprise, including the call center.

Mr. Honoré received his BA from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a double major in Public Relations and History. He is a four year veteran of the U.S. Army, including tours in Korea and Desert Storm. Mr. Honoré has received a citation from the Wisconsin State Legislature for charitable development work, and was Master of Ceremonies for the 1990 Missouri Special Olympics.
Scott Ignall, Chief Technology Officer, Lightspeed Trading, LLC

Scott Ignall is Chief Technology Officer of Lightspeed Trading, LLC and is responsible for overseeing the ongoing operations, development and evolution of the Lightspeed Trading Platform by integrating the fastest, most sophisticated and open trading technology into Lightspeed's proprietary software offering. Mr. Ignall was a key driver in the original design, creation and implementation of the Lightspeed Trading Platform.

Mr. Ignall brings 12 years of industry experience in the Institutional and Retail electronic trading arena to Lightspeed, with various past roles in technology, product, operations, brokerage support and trading.

Prior to joining Lightspeed, Mr. Ignall was Director of DMA Product Strategy for E*TRADE Capital Markets where he held strategic oversight for the company's DMA, Order Management, and Market Data Systems in the U.S., Asia, Europe, and Canada.

Previously, Mr. Ignall was Co-Founder and Vice President of Technology Affairs at Tradescape, a software technology provider, specializing in the development of innovative trading tools. Tradescape was acquired by E*TRADE in 2002.

Mr. Ignall began his career as a Proprietary Trader at a Datek securities, a pioneer in online and direct access trading, and also the birthplace of the Island ECN, currently utilized by Nasdaq for its primary order matching engine.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, and is registered with the NASD.
Saro Jahani, CIO, National Stock Exchange (NSX)

Saro Jahani joined National Stock Exchange® (NSX®) as Senior Vice President of Information Technology on November 1, 2007. On March 1, 2008, he was appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO). He is responsible for all IT functions at NSX, including development and the operation of the Exchange's IT production systems and all related tasks.

Mr. Jahani came to NSX with a 2O-year professional career in IT and a depth of technology experience in the securities industry, most recently as Global Head of Infrastructure, Operations and Facilities at Townsend Analytics, a leading provider of market data and direct access trading software and a subsidiary of Lehman Brothers. In this position, he was responsible for the strategic and global operation of data center facilities, data center operations and operational quality of a high volume and distributed production environment.

Before that, Mr. Jahani served as Executive Vice President of IT Operations at SunGard. There he was responsible for Information Systems/Information Technology and production operation, including the continuous development and planning of SunGard's production network, network security, telecommunication and office automation, ASP and data centers. Prior to that, he served as CIO at SunGard in Sweden.

His work experience also includes IT positions at CAP Gemini, Swedish Telecom and Crosfield Electronics. He brought 20 years of international experience to NSX. Saro Jahani has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with concentration on Computer Operations.
Peter Lankford, Founder and Director, Securities Technology Analysis Center (STAC® - www.STACresearch.com).

STAC facilitates the STAC Benchmark Council™, an organization of leading trading firms and vendors that specifies standard ways to measure the performance of trading solutions. STAC helps end-user firms relate the performance of new technologies to that of their existing systems. It does this by performing public and private hands-on research into the latest solution stacks and by providing customers and vendors with STAC Test Harnesses(TM) to run the standard benchmarks themselves.

Prior to STAC, Peter was Senior Vice President of Information Management Solutions at Reuters, where he led the $240M market data systems business. Peter's team led Reuters into the business of low-latency direct exchange feeds and catalyzed the widespread adoption of Linux on Wall Street by making the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) the first major product for the securities industry on that platform. Kevin Lupowitz, Chief Information Officer, Liquidnet

Kevin McPartland, Senior Analyst, TABB Group

Kevin joined TABB Group after spending four years, 2003 to 2007, at Detica, formerly m.a.partners, where as a senior manager in their global financial markets division, he was responsible for strategic and implementation projects across equities, derivatives and fixed-income asset classes for the international management consulting firm's top-tier investment banking clients. Michael Mollemans, Head of Electronic Execution Sales, Daiwa Securities America Inc

Michael Mollemans is Head of Electronic Execution Sales at Daiwa Securities America, where he manages direct market access, algorithmic trading, smart order routing, and program trading services for the US, Japan, and South East Asian markets.

Prior to his wide ranging role at Daiwa Securities, Michael was in charge of US direct market access services and algorithmic trading service development for Credit Lyonnais Securities at their New York office.

Prior to that, Michael was in charge Japanese electronic execution services sales for Credit Lyonnais Securities at their Tokyo office.

He also held regional analyst roles for DBS Securities at both their Singapore and Bangkok offices. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a Ph.D. in Econometrics from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Overall, Michael has over twelve years experience in the securities industry in a variety of capacities - including research, trading, and IT project management - at a variety of markets, including New York, Tokyo, Singapore, and Bangkok.
Melanie Rodier, Associate Editor, Wall Street & Technology

Melanie Rodier has worked as a print and broadcast journalist for over 10 years, covering business and finance, general news, and film trade news. Prior to joining Wall Street & Technology in April 2007, Melanie lived in Paris, where she worked for the International Herald Tribune, and Rome, where she wrote for Reuters and Screen International, a film trade publication. Melanie was born in London, and graduated from Oxford University where she studied Spanish and Italian. She is also a fluent French speaker.
