According to the Securities Industry Association's 2004 Investor Survey, nine out of 10 investors are "very" or "somewhat" satisfied with the service provided by their investment professional. Sixty-four percent of investors expressed a favorable opinion of the securities industry, up from survey lows of 55 percent in 2002 and 2003. Securities industry employment also continues to increase, albeit at a slow pace. During 2004, the industry added 25,700 jobs, totaling 781,000 jobs at year's end.
