A large portion of financial services CIOs are thinking of making the transition into retirement gradually, according to a survey from executive recruiter Robert Half Technology (Menlo Park, Calif.). In a national poll of CIOs from U.S. companies with 100 or more employees, 44 percent of participants from the financial services industry indicated that they are somewhat or very likely to consider consulting or project work as a means to transition into retirement. Across all industries, the percentage of CIOs considering consulting was slightly higher (46 percent). Of the more than 1,400 respondents, 5 percent were financial services CIOs. <<<
